LANGAR ON THE OCCASION OF ASHTAMI

Durga Ashtami or Maha Ashtami is the eighth day of the Navratri festival celebrated by Hindus for worshipping Goddess Durga. The festival is observed for 10 days in Hindu households but the actual puja that takes place in the ‘pandals’ is held over a period of 5 days (starting from Shashthi). In India, fasting is undertaken by Hindu people on this holy occasion.

On this occasion, Manas organised a free food camp and provided free and nutritious food to the needy. As he believes festivals should be made enjoyable and memorable for all the strata of society and thus believe in equality.

With the help of HARIOM SEVA , his front which is run for quite some time now with the support of his family helping him to feed poverty-stricken people and give them happiness for sometime and also make their festivals enjoyable.

According to him , This is the first generation in all of recorded history that can do something about the scourge of poverty. We have the means to do it. We can banish hunger from the face of the earth.
